Drinks and Apps at Acacia

Before going to the movie at the Byrd we hit up Acacia for some cocktails and appetizers. Since we are eating early and are favorite spot is the bar, no reservations are necessary.

Acacia always has something new on their cocktail list and it takes us several minutes to decide. For this night I tried the Brazilian Sunrise which consisted of Cachaca 51, Campari, Tangerine, Housemade Grenadine.

Hubby had Fizz No.1 which had Hendrick's Gin, Pimm's No.1, Cucumber Juice, Lime, Simple Syrup, Housemade Ginger Beer.

Both were wonderfully refreshing and not very sweet. Perfect for a sweltering day. And, of course, crafted with the utmost care and precision.

To eat we enjoyed Smoked Tuna with White Beans and Arugula (I was very pleased that the beans were not crunchy!)

Tuna Ceviche with Cucumber

Peach and Proscuitto Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing (great combination of ingredients)

Smoked Mozzarella and Heirloom Tomatoes

Lovely.

We had a similar evening last night! I enjoyed the Fizz No. 1 and my husband had another one of their cocktails with Bourbon but I can't remember the name. The peach salad and black bean cakes were delicious; it is always a satisfying night when we end up at Acacia.
