More Goodies from SOJ

The SOJ Market keeps getting more fabulous. Alt Family Farms had fresh whole chickens this week. And it was just as good as the one from Faith Farms last week. Lana's had Key Lime Tarts that were divine. A vendor was selling blueberry bushes that were already bursting with fruit. Amy's still had green garlic and Japanese turnips (how in the world did I ever become a turnip fan?). The Neighborhood Resource Center brought along their rooster to show off. And a fine looking fellow he was. Per usual Marcus Blowfish entertained with his own brand of blues.

The SOJ Market is always a lot of fun. It continues to be a Sat. morning happening.

No matter where you are in the greater Richmond area, there is a market near you. Richmond Food Collective put together a comprehensive list a couple of months ago. Check it out here. Please support your local farmer.

If you have photos of any of the area markets, please consider posting them to the Richmond Area Farmers Markets flickr pool.
