Acadia National Park Maine

From the rugged mountains to the ocean to Jordan Pond, Thunder Hole, Sandy Beach, and Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park in Maine contains something for everyone. The park is cobbled together from private land donations which is unusual. I recommend a few days to take in the major features. Lots of hikers, kayakers, horse riders, bikers, etc. make use of the park as well and parking can be tricky at times. The weather when we were there varied and it is recommended that if the skies are clear, go directly to Cadillac Mountain because the fog and mist may roll in at any time.
