We ate dinner at Cafe Rustica tonight. Yeah, you know. The one that has garnered raves on East Main? We enjoyed our dinner, but this time, we saved room for dessert:
Grilled Pound Cake with Lemon Curd and Fresh Berries.
The pound cake was moist and sported grill marks that added a bit of crunch to the mix. The curd held just the right amount of lemon flavor. Not too much to turn one's mouth sour and just enough to play off of the fresh strawberries. Fresh blueberries rounded out this send-me-to-heaven dessert. Did I mention the price? Only $5.
Next time, I may have to eat dessert first!
