A Disappointing Bastard

Fat Bastard Brut Sparkling, that is. Even though it had a lot of fizz, the stuff still tasted thin and flat. There are a ton of dry sparklings out there for around $10 per bottle. We will avoid this one in the future.

  1. You have to wonder about some wines. Are they putting more money and effort into marketing rather than wine making when they have a cute or catchy name...

I think more people buy Fat Bastard to give as gifts than to drink themselves. Anecdotal but....

did you really think you might enjoy the fat bastard? come on.. pay a couple dollars more for a cava (not spectacular, but you get what you pay for). there are some good french sparklers out there for $15.

  3. Anon - One never knows until one tries a thing. I've tried some decent French sparklers for under $10.
