I picked up one of those Rachel Ray Furi santoku knives on clearance. It was the short stout looks that attracted me, but it has never once been sharp (does this sound like Ms. Yumm-O, herself?). Well, now I'll have the chance to see if that thing can shine after a good sharpening. In the meantime, I've upgraded to Cook Illustrated's favorite best buy knife by Forshner. Look those up on Amazon.

ReplyDeleteThat rachel ray santoku was horrible, I threw mine away. Time to take my knives in...I don't see Thomas any more there though...
ReplyDeleteVeron, please tell me the next time you have a knife to throw away.
ReplyDeleteI could use a good saute pan also.
